• 電池應由熟悉電池及相關防護措施的人員更換，或在其監督下進行。Batteries should be replaced by, or under the supervision of, personnel familiar with batteries and the required precautions.
• 至少每 5 年更換一次電池，或在電池壽命終結時更換（以較早者為準）。Replace the batteries at least every 5 years or at the end of their service life, whichever comes first.
• UPS 顯示需要更換電池時，應立即更換。Replace the battery immediately when the UPS indicates that replacement is needed.
• 如出現電池過熱，或有電解液洩漏的跡象：If a battery overheats or shows signs of electrolyte leakage:
  • 立即關掉 UPS，拔除 AC 輸入，並斷開電池。Turn off the UPS immediately, unplug the AC input and disconnect the batteries.
  • 更換電池之前不要再使用該 UPS。Do not use the UPS again until the batteries have been replaced.
• 必須使用與原裝相同數量及型號的電池。Use the same number and model of batteries as originally installed.
• 更換電池或加裝外置電池組時，所有使用超過 1 年的電池模組（包括外置電池組 XLBP 內的模組）都應一併更換。When replacing batteries or adding external battery packs, replace every battery module more than 1 year old at the same time (including modules in XLBP external packs).
• 操作前除下手錶、戒指等金屬飾物；使用絕緣手柄工具；戴上橡膠手套及穿著橡膠靴。Before starting, remove watches, rings and other metal objects; use tools with insulated handles; wear rubber gloves and boots.
• 不要把工具或金屬物件放在電池上面；連接或拆除電池端子前，先斷開充電電源。Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries; disconnect the charging source before connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
• 不可焚燒、拆開或破壞電池。損壞的電池溫度可能很高，小心燙傷。Do not burn, open or damage batteries. A damaged battery may be very hot; take care to avoid burns.
• 電池很重，須按安全搬運方法處理。官方數據：Batteries are heavy; use safe handling practices. Official figures:

• 不要使用非 APC 認可的電池：系統無法偵測，可能影響運作，並會令保養失效（990-5269E）。Do not use batteries not approved by APC: the system cannot detect them, operation may be affected, and the warranty is voided (990-5269E).

可否熱插拔（不關機更換）？Hot-swap (replace without shutdown)?

Smart-UPS On-Line SRT（1–10 kVA）：手冊形容為「swappable battery modules」（可更換電池模組）。FA333556 指出 SRT/SURT 更換電池模組無需關掉 UPS，但未裝電池期間沒有電池後備。RBC 只應在更換過程中短暫斷開。The manuals describe “swappable battery modules”. FA333556 states that SRT/SURT battery modules can be replaced without turning off the UPS, but there is no battery backup while the batteries are out. RBCs should be disconnected only briefly during replacement.

步驟概要（SRT，官方手冊）Step overview (SRT, official manuals)

1. 準備與 UPS 型號相符的新 RBC（見上方對照表）。確認 UPS 已接駁市電，而且輸出正常。Have a new RBC that matches the UPS model (see the table above). Confirm the UPS is connected to utility power and the output is normal.
2. 拆下前面板（bezel）。如適用，拆除電池倉蓋螺絲（FA333556）。Remove the front bezel. Where applicable, remove the battery compartment cover screws (FA333556).
3. 拔開 UPS 內電池模組的連接器，把 RBC 從 UPS 滑出。Disconnect the battery module connector inside the UPS and slide the RBC out of the UPS.
4. 把新 RBC 滑入 UPS，接上電池連接器，並用力推到完全接妥。接觸不良會令 UPS 運作異常、出現異常警報，停電時負載可能得不到電池供電。Slide the new RBC into the UPS, connect the battery connector and push it firmly until it is fully seated. A poor connection can cause erratic UPS operation and false alarms, and the load may not get battery power during an outage.
5. 如 UPS 顯示屏詢問電池是否全新，全新電池請選 YES，舊電池選 NO。If the UPS display asks whether the battery is new, select YES for a new battery and NO for a used one.
6. 裝回電池倉蓋及前面板。Refit the battery compartment cover and the front bezel.
7. 完成後的檢查及設定見下方「更換電池後的設定」。電池首 3 小時約可充至 90%，官方建議充電 24 小時以確保達到完整後備時間。For checks and settings afterwards, see “After replacing the battery” below. The battery charges to about 90% in the first 3 hours; APC recommends charging for 24 hours to ensure full runtime.
